The Gutierrez family have three reasons to celebrate this Sunday, June 15.
This year’s Father’s Day is special for Richard, especially since he and girlfriend Sarah Lahbati just recently admitted that they are proud parents to baby Zion. After over a year of staying mum about controversies, the couple’s confirmation has allowed them to express their love and affection for their son, which they show through several photos on their social networking accounts.
Richard is both relieved and excited that they can finally share Zion with everyone else. He also noted how fatherhood has allowed him to surprise himself in many ways like choosing to stay home almost all the time, and even changing his son’s diapers.
Aside from Father’s Day, his household is also holding a double celebration of Zion’s christening and first birthday. The jungle animals-themed party references to them fondly calling him ‘Zion the young lion’, as shown in the captions of the photos that the couple posts.
The affair will be attended by family, close friends and the star-studded list of Zion’s godparents. The lineup includes politicians like Vice President Jejomar Binay, Governor Vilma Santos, Mayor Joseph Estrada, Congresswoman Lucy Torres Gomez, and Secretary Panfilo Lacson.
Some of the family’s friends from show business including Mother Lily Monteverde, Richard Gomez, Gretchen Barretto, Aga Muhlach, Kris Aquino, James Yap, Angel Locsin, Bela Padilla, TJ Trinidad and Willie Revillame are also ninongs and ninangs.
Richard’s siblings Elvis, Raymond and Ruffa are also on the godparents list.
